Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join their Department of Orthopedic Trauma at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Lead a team of 14 Advanced Practitioners who practice inpatient ortho trauma at Baystate Medical Center (BMC)
BMC is a Level I trauma center and home to one of the busiest EDs on the east coast
Provide direct supervision and educational opportunities for APPs, as well as participate in QI initiatives
Partner closely with division leadership and our Director of Advanced Practitioners to develop and implement department growth strategies
Care for patients in a variety of settings including: Trauma bay, ED, ICU, inpatient units, and potential to first assist in the OR
Must be a Board Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Possess 5 or more years of experience in an orthopedic surgery setting with management experience
Must have both inpatient and emergency medicine ortho experience
Must be a driven, creative and flexible leader that is committed to team building and quality improvement
