Come join Pediatrix Medical Group as Medical Director of our four-physician, well-established practice at North Mississippi Medical Center (NMMC) in Tupelo, MS.
- Our group provides coverage for this 35-bed, Level-III NICU with an average daily census of 28 and over 2,000 annual births.
- As the only Level-III NICU in North Mississippi, this unit is a crucial referral hospital for infants within a 60-mile radius using our dedicated ground transport team
- Housed in a women's and children's hospital, the group provides delivery room services and consultation services for the newborn nursery and pediatric ward
- The unit offers HFJV, HFOV, NAVA, non-invasive NAVA, and non-invasive ventilation, along with inhaled nitric oxide, body cooling, PDA ligations, and subgaleal shunts
- The hospital provides on-site pediatric cardiology and pediatric endocrinology services, and easy access to a variety of other sub-specialty services
- The unique schedule promotes a favorable work/life balance with two weeks off per month
- The group also participates in the Vermont Oxford Network
- MEDNAX has a national footprint with five of the top 50 NICUs in the nation according to US News World Report
MEDNAX offers a complex portfolio of non-clinical activities that range from national Quality Collaboratives, virtual and live scientific conferences/webinars, research projects, as well as participation in other performance improvement or innovation projects. We also support a variety of professional development, talent development or leadership activities that include: quality/safety certifications, medical simulation certification, genomics, AI, lean/six sigma certification, finance, negotiation skills and strategic leadership. For interested candidates, we also offer a few slots for healthcare administration or clinical research fellowships.
