Mercy Health- St. Vincent Medical Center (MHSVMC) is searching for a well-trained and highly motivated Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in neurocritical care. Established in 1855, MHSVMC is the critical care regional referral and teaching center within the Bon Secours Mercy Health system, a 43 hospital faith-based system across seven states. The institution is home to five Life Flight air ambulances, holds the highest designation for treating high risk mothers & babies, is a Level I Trauma Center for children & adults, and is an accredited Chest Pain Center. MHSVMC has the highest level of accreditation in stroke care with an advanced certification for Comprehensive Stroke Center and is home to a Mobile Stroke Unit. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Neuro ICU will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients as an integral member of multidisciplinary rounds in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. This pharmacist will also serve as a preceptor for Doctor of Pharmacy Students, PGY-1, and PGY-2 Critical Care residents. Additional responsibilities include active participation in multidisciplinary hospital committees, policy or protocol development, and research activities.

Required credentials of applicants: Doctor of Pharmacy degree, PGY-1 residency or equivalent experience, and Ohio pharmacist license eligibility. Completion of a PGY-2 residency, Board Certification, clinical practice in neurocritical care and ACLS certification are strongly preferred.
