The Children’s Heart Center at the Yale School of Medicine is recruiting a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cardiac Intensive Care Medical Director to further develop a state-of-the-art clinical program. Clinical duties will be carried out in the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital’s dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the main campus in New Haven, CT, and will include the care of pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients, pediatric heart transplant patients, and pediatric patients requiring mechanical circulatory support
The successful candidate will join the Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in the Clinical or Clinician-Educator track, depending on interest and background. A record of excellence in the clinical care of congenital cardiac patients is required and a desire to pursue an academic career in cardiac critical care is expected. In addition, the candidate is expected to actively participate in the education of medical students, residents and fellows.
Appropriate candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and/or Pediatric Critical Care, and must have dedicated training and experience in pediatric cardiac intensive care.
