The Lead Neurodiagnostic Tech supervises EEG and Polysomnographic Techs as well as oversees the day to day operations of the Neurodiagnostics department/lab. Performs EEGï¿½s and EPï¿½s in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the intensive care units and in the operating room. Performs multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT). Performs Nerve Conduction Studies under the direction of the Electromyographer, both in the laboratory and at the bedside.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic Program Preferred: A.S. or Bachelorï¿½s degree in a healthcare or science related field
Required: 3-5 years clinical experience in Neurodiagnostic testing with 1-2 years in a lead/supervisory capacity
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Required: Registered, or registry eligible, with ASET (American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists), ABRET (American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic and Evoked Potential Technologists), or other Nationally recognized certification program for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists
ï¿½ BLS required upon hire.
