Nemours is seeking an academic Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at Nemours/A.I DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. Our Pediatric Hospitalist group, which includes seven academic Pediatric Hospitalists and four Nurse Practitioners, is housed within the Division of General Pediatrics. Our hospitalist program, in existence since 2006, has experienced continued growth and success with a remarkably low turnover rate. Clinical responsibilities include General Pediatric inpatient service attending as well as providing consultation and co-management of medically complex surgical patients. Applicants should be skilled at managing a broad spectrum of acute and chronic illnesses including technology-dependent children from newborns to adulthood. Our hospitalists also engage in academic pursuits, including education of our pediatric residents and medical students, research, and participation in quality improvement. We have a collaborative relationship with General Academic Pediatricians who also do some inpatient attending service time. Candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatrics.
