Coordinates all education activities and hospital programs according to policies, procedures, philosophy and goals of the hospital and nursing services, as assigned by supervisor, including managing affiliated school student and clinical rotations. Functions as a role model and resource person. Facilitates and assesses participants of BLS and ACLS classes meeting AHA guidelines. Facilitates and assist participants in courses scheduled on campus and off campus. Flexible hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., included, but not limited to nights, weekends and holiday coverage as assigned.
RN Bachelorï¿½s Degree in Nursing required.
Instructor in ACLS and BLS preferred (or obtained within 6 months of hired) Current State of Florida RN License required Current BLS (American Heart Association) required Current ACLS (American Heart Association) required Current PALS (American Heart Association) a Plus
Skills and Abilities
Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language. Extremely proficient with computer skills, Microsoft outlook, excel, word and power point. Knowledge of Cerner EMR system strongly preferred. Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
Clinical Educator experience preferred. Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience required, critical care and/or ED experience preferred.
