Registered Nurse II - Psychiatric Assessment Services Department
Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital is accepting applications for a RN - Psychiatric Assessment Services (PAS). This is a full time (36 hours) position working day shift (7a-7p) three days a week which may include every other weekend within our 108-bed hospital. Further information about working hours will be discussed during the interview.
In this role, you will have an opportunity to apply the nursing process to plan and manage the care of psychiatric patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning; effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team; participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions; furthers professional growth by engaging in 10 hours of learning activities annually.
This position is located at our Psychiatric Hospital in our Psychiatric Assessment Services department. In this role you will assess and work with other health care professionals with conducting the initial and follow-up mental health evaluation(s). You will interact frequently with family members and with other healthcare professionals. Candidates with psychiatric and/or emergency nursing experience are strongly preferred.
Graduate of an accredited/approved RN program. BSN preferred.
Six months of RN experience required, 1-3 years preferred
Prior Psychiatric RN experience is preferred.
Experience in ED or Critical Care environment is a plus
