The University of Virginia Department of Anesthesiology seeks ABA certified or eligible candidates with fellowship training in Critical Care Anesthesia committed to a career in academic medicine.
The job affords a diverse work experience including one to two weeks a month in the Surgical and Trauma ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU or the Neuro ICU units. Interest and or need may dictate assignment. The candidate is also expected to provide coverage to the OR.
The Department has an enduring commitment to teaching and the interested candidate must have a strong interest in combining clinical practice with resident and fellow education. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. The position is open rank, open tenure.
