The Clinical Educator Coordinates all education activities and hospital programs according to policies, procedures, philosophy and goals of the hospital and nursing services, as assigned by supervisor. Functions as a role model and resource person. Facilitates and assesses participants of BLS and ACLS classes meeting AHA guidelines. Facilitates and assist participants in courses scheduled on campus and off campus. Flexible hours: Monday-Friday,8:30 a.m.-5 p.m, occasional weekend and holiday as assigned. With assigned educational courses on the off shifts (educational coverage for the night shift 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
Instructor in ACLS and BLS preferred (or obtained within 6 months of hired) RN with minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience required, critical care and/or ED experience preferred Clinical Educator experience preferred Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
Current State of Florida RN License required Current BLS (American Heart Association) required Current ACLS (American Heart Association) required Current BLS Instructor (American Heart Association) preferred Current ACLS Instructor (American Heart Association) preferred
