The Division of Pulmonary Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a full-time Sleep Medicine/Critical Care physician that will specifically support a comprehensive practice focused in adult sleep medicine and critical care. The desired applicant should have broad exposure to both pulmonary/sleep medicine conditions and must be board eligible or board certified in sleep medicine as well as pulmonary disease and critical care. Our adult sleep medicine practice supports a full range of sleep medicine disorders with a state of the art facility and technology; hospital-based, brand new 6 bed facility; fully AASM accredited. Our adult sleep medicine practice operates six days per week and our current collaborative group includes pulmonary, neurology, and psychiatry specialists. There is also close collaboration with ENT and cardiology with involvement in bariatric clinic as well as neuromuscular disease. Current programs include placement of hypoglossal nerve stimulator for OSA and transvenous phrenic nerve stimulation for CSA. This position will also have involvement in upper airway surgery.
Candidates should have a strong academic background and interest in academic productivity. This position will spend equal amounts of time in critical care and sleep medicine and includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic.
