Providence Health & Services' Telepsychiatry group is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Neurology Stroke Telemedicine physician to provide direct patient care as part of the Telestroke call panel system. This is an excellent opportunity to join an extraordinary, collegial and supportive team. This is a work-from-home position hired out of Everett, and the physician will have the ability to work from any state.
Act in advisory role; Recipient physicians understand they remain responsible for exercising independent judgment regarding any advice or recommendations received
Know that Recipient physicians will be first responders to all events
Assist Recipient physicians in the examination of acute stroke patients, but not responsible for prescribing medication, ordering tests or procedures, initiating transfer of a patient or making other decisions regarding a patient's follow-up care
Work from private home office with remote technical and administrative support; Providence Health & Services will provide all necessary equipment and technology, including audio/video, DICOM, network and support infrastructure
Understand that physicians using home network must abide by Providence technology guidelines
Receive malpractice coverage provided by Providence Health & Services
2+ years' experience required
Telemedicine experience preferred, but not required
Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills
Completed training for equipment use, maintenance and care, and use of Telehealth Support Team Line
Proficiency with acute stroke protocol, use of Access center, EMR documentation processes, DICOM image access
Completed training modules at direction of medical director
Participation in monthly case reviews and provider team meetings
Ability to interact and collaborate remotely with administrative, institutional and medical staff
