Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and provide Technician leadership/supervision on a daily basis. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written fashion. Responsible for contacting the physician for clarification of orders, including those where the dosage is outside of the recommended range. Ability to meet the Pharmaceutical care needs of the patients served in this facility (including: Cardiac, Oncologic, Neonatal (NICU), Obstetrics, ICU-DOU, Ortho and General Medical).
Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy recognized by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Has a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, or has graduated from a foreign School of Pharmacy and has demonstrated (through training or direct observation) the ability to perform the requirements listed in the "position summary."
Current California State Board of Pharmacy License.
Must demonstrate either through testing or direct observation (preferred) the ability to perform pharmaceutical care needs related to specific age groups (including, but not limited to: neonates, pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric).
Ability to perform "general" computer functions as well as Pharmacy-related computer functions including "order entry," running reports and Pyxis functions.
