Job Summary To work in close collaboration with the trauma medical director to organize services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to the care of the trauma patient and family. Responsible for daily operations of PPMH's trauma program. Primary responsibilities relate to performance improvement, compliance, and supervision of the Trauma Registry. The TPC assists the medical director with the administration of the trauma center and directs, plans, and facilitates care in collaboration with the trauma surgeons, sub-specialists, nursing and ancillary services. To proactively support the efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Phoebe. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
4 - 5 years Emergency Medicine and (or) Critical Care Experience(Required)
1 - 2 years Trauma Systems Management Experience(Preferred)
