Hartford Hospital is one of the largest and most respected teaching hospitals in New England. The Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center which provides cutting edge treatment to its patients. This is made possible by being home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), one of the most-advanced medical simulation training centers in the world. Palliative Care Advanced Practitioner Role Scope
Enjoy a Nurse Practitioner career within a strong collaborative environment, collaborating inter-team, and across Hartford Hospital, partnering with multiple disciplines including Cardiology, Oncology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and more.
Experience work diversity with skills and training in assessment and management of the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of chronically ill, or end of life patients and their family members.
Gain knowledge and experience with a team committed to growth and development of their staff as they provide care managing and prescribing symptom focused medications, including controlled substances.
Work within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, RN, social workers, pastoral services.
Shift: Monday – Friday with call coverage

Advanced Practitioner Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred
Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
Palliative Medicine/Hospice experience preferred
