DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Development, Implementation, Coordination, and Evaluation of Education/Educational Programs
â�¢ Develops and coordinates new and existing employee orientation programs.Schedules new employees for required orientation components and monitors their progression.
â�¢ Creates, reviews, and revises orientation pathways and competencies, annually.
â�¢ Evaluates educational programs for effectiveness and impact.Provides Director/Manager with annual program evaluation summary.
â�¢ Creates and provides educational and professional development opportunities that enhance empirical outcomes, structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, transformational leadership, new knowledge, innovations, and improvements.
â�¢ Evaluates and tracks programs and other educational/professional development offerings for sustained improvement and outcomes.
â�¢ Performs learning needs assessment (annually and ad hoc).Develops educational programs based on needs.Provides training reports to assist staff in achieving high completion rates for assigned departments.

Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: High School or Equivalent, Masters in Nursing, CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, preferably RNC-EFM for Women and Children.
Preferred Certification: Certification in specialty (e.g. â�� CCRN, CEN, CMSRN, CNOR, etc.) nursing education (CNE), or nursing professional development.
Knowledge & Skills:
1. Masterâ��s Degree in Nursing
2. Current, unencumbered licensure to practice in the State of California
3. Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in area of expertise.
4. Computer literacy including Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
