A Registered Nurse who provides individualized care topatients requiring angiographic diagnostic evaluation and possibleintervention. Emphasis is placed onassessment of healthcare needs, implementation of therapeutic treatment andanticipation, recognition and, if necessary, intervention of adverse effects ofprocedures/medical condition to assure positive patient outcome. In addition, the angiosuite registered nurseprovides patient/family education to promote optimal healthcare status upondischarge. This position providesprofessional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygieneand the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. This positionperforms the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation andevaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients in the angiosuite whichinclude the preprocedure phase, procedure phase, and post procedure phase. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessaryto provide care appropriate to the age of the patient in the department. This position is overseen by Nursing andreports to the Angiosuite Clinical Coordinator.

Current CA RN license
American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
American Heart Association ACLS required
Completion of an advanced dysrhythmia course
Completion of advanced hemodynamic monitoringclass
Completion of an intra-aortic balloon pump class
Two years of recent Critical Care experienceand/or Cath Lab experience
Completion of Moderate Sedation education andcompetency
Completion of yearly supplemental competencyvalidation
Completion of 10 CEUs yearly related to AngiographicCatheterization Nursing
Certification in Midline/PICC line placementpreferred
