Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation,joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
Under the supervision of the DOMM/ADOMM responsible for daily order processing and inventory management for the Surgical areas. Performs Cycle counts, issues, recommended reorders, and adjustments with a focus on inventory accuracy and supply availability. Assists with medassets contract compliance initiatives. Completes requisitions for special order items. Stock shelves for responsible area. Follows up on low stock and back orders. Acts as a supply resource for department of surgery. Processes inventory interfaces daily. Assists OR staff with patient charge information as requested. Request new charge numbers as needed. Assists with counts and data entry for Semi Annual inventories. Runs and reviews Inventory and Purchasing reports on a regular basis. Assures all products kept in areas of responsibility meet regulatory requirements for outdates, package integrity, and storage quality. Maintains databases/spreadsheets with current and accurate data.
Assists in other areas of SPD and Materiel Management as needed.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
â�¢ Back order report for location 3 Weekly
â�¢ Excess No move report for location 3 Weekly
â�¢ Implant spreadsheet for Cerner implant charges Daily
â�¢ Out of Stock Critical item report Weekly
â�¢ Maintains Surgical stock locations
â�¢ Reviews supplies daily and requisitions to Material Management for order placement assuring product availability.
â�¢ Follows up with Material Management to expedite orders as necessary.
â�¢ Accurately issues supplies via IMMS.
â�¢ Maintains stock room in a neat and orderly fashion.
â�¢ Communicates to supervisor supply and stock out issues.
â�¢ Utilizes IMMS computer system to link items/vendors for OR products assuring compliance to Tenet/Broadlane contracts when applicable.
â�¢ Assists OR staff in ordering special items. Acts as an information resource for the OR. Contacts vendors to obtain samples. Keeps current on supplies and vendors.
â�¢ Performs regular cycle counts for stock location 3 and 12. Issues supplies/makes adjustments. Processes recommended orders on a daily basis.
â�¢ Processes patient charges for the OR area on a daily basis assuring charges are input correctly and in a timely manner.
â�¢ Reviews charge numbers for the OR on a periodic basis assuring they are correct and charge amounts are reasonable.
â�¢ Requests charge numbers for new/existing items assuring miscellaneous charge numbers are used on a limited basis
â�¢ Works closely with the PBS providing information and answering questions regarding Surgery
High School Diploma or GED
Previous hospital or supply distribution experience preferred.
