The Department of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking outstanding applicants for full-time clinical faculty intensivist/pulmonologist positions in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine, board certified or eligible in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care and/or Sleep Medicine, and eligible for licensure in California. Successful candidates will have strong clinical and procedural skills and competence in all facets of critical care and pulmonary medicine.
Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is a busy and expanding Division within the USC Keck School of Medicine. Successful applicants will work with fellows in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as well as nurse practitioners to provide clinical services at Keck Hospital of USC, LAC+USC Medical Center and the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Inpatient services include care of critically ill medical patients (including neurology and neurosurgery), pulmonary consultation to both medical and surgical patients and advanced procedures. Specialty programs include pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis and advanced lung disease, lung transplant and sleep, providing outstanding opportunities for teaching, participation in clinical research and care of a diverse patient population in an interactive and collegial environment.

Major growth is expected in the demand for critical care services involving critically ill medical, cardiothoracic, neurosurgical and other patients, providing outstanding opportunities for research, teaching and care of a diverse patient population in an interactive and collegial environment. The successful candidate will play a strong leadership role in standardizing protocols and implementing quality improvement processes, in addition to providing direct patient care for both medical and surgical patients.
