Bronson Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Critical Care Physician who has successfully completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care. Bronson’s Pediatric Referral Service consists of five Pediatric Critical Care Physicians and nine pediatricians and includes newborn hospitalists. Bronson’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is an eight-bed unit and is the area's only PICU, as well as a four-bed PSDU. The unit draws from a nine-county area in southwest Michigan. Bronson is the only hospital that provides pediatric inpatient services in the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek areas. Transport services for patients referred to Bronson from 19 regional hospitals and other institutions are conducted by ambulance under the supervision of a specially trained transport nurse. The Pediatric Intensivists co-manage pediatric traumas, as well as sedations. Teaching is also a part of the opportunity with Bronson. Western Michigan University School of Medicine partners closely with Bronson physicians. The school has nine residency programs including pediatrics, family medicine, and med/peds. Sharon Skaletzky, MD, from Bronson, will be in attendance at the conference. Interested candidates can contact her at 269-743-9309.
