Join a team of 4 Intensivists and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Cape Cod Hospital to help meet the medical/surgical ICU needs of the 220,000 residents of our Cape Cod community. Our intensivist team provides comprehensive ICU care with 24 hour APP coverage of the 11-19 medical/surgical patients in a closed ICU program model. The idea candidate would be IM or EM based, could be part-time or could have seasonal interest of being on the Cape. Opportunities for ED or pulmonary practice work may be available to a suitable candidate.
Daytime rounding and direct patient care with APP team. Backup support with APP team in off hours. No designated in-house night shift. Primary attending for all medical patients and co-attending mode for surgical patients. Excellent collaboration with surgical colleagues. Hospital services include acute care surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, GI, and cardiac services.
Intensivists must be comfortable with performing and supervising procedures including intubation, bronchoscopy, central line placement, and ultrasound guided procedures.
Flexible stretches of 3-7 days.
Successful intensivists in this program will be invested in the development and maintenance of standardized, evidence-based practice of care that is supportive by our APP team , our colleagues and our community
