The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Buffalo and John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital are seeking a candidate for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor ranks. Candidate must possess a medical degree and valid license, a clinical background in Pediatric PICU, Board Certification in Pediatrics, and Board Certification/Eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Preferred qualifications include a strong academic background and interest in pursuing a career in clinical research and teaching, experience and interest in patient safety and quality, and /or clinical experience in pediatric cardiac critical care.
Oishei Children’s Hospital includes 20 PICU beds, 65 NICU beds, and 50 medical-surgical beds. The position provides an ideal environment for collegial interactions, clinical research as well as other academic endeavors, and excellent clinical care. The successful candidate will also participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows, and undertake other academic activities consistent with their interests and faculty series. Three to five years of previous experience in PCCM is desired but not required.
Must hold a MD/DO degree or equivalent and be BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with a clinical background in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
