In this highly visible role, the Critical Care Intensivist will work in the medical intensive care unit (MICU), which is our twenty five bedded closed critical care unit.
Responsibilities will include:
Directing and providing medical care to patients within the MICU
Providing consulting services throughout the hospital and emergency department
Opportunities exist for procedures, including but not limited to central line placement, dialysis catheters, arterial lines, endotracheal intubation, thoracentesis and bronchoscopies
Opportunity for clinical studies and teaching residents, nurse practitioners and physician assistants
NYS Medical License
Doctorate of medicine or osteopathic medicine from an accredited critical care fellowship
Background in anesthesiology, internal medicine, neurology and surgery will also be considered
