Maine Medical Partners, a MaineHealth member, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join their Critical Care team in Portland. The PA or ACNP will perform daily rounds on patients with a team of fellows, residents and students, as well as participate in family meetings. This is a dynamic setting that is growing and evolving. The PA or ACNP will assist with the development and implementation of care plans, participate in teaching, and research for Neuro Critical Care and some Surgical Critical Care patients. The program has multiple opportunities for learners including Neuro Critical Care rounds twice weekly, cerebrovascular rounds monthly, critical care grand rounds monthly as well as teaching rounds and multiple lectures. The program works closely with multiple other specialties including neurosurgery and neurology. The candidate must have the desire to be a lifelong learner and teacher.
This is a 24/7 service with rotating days, nights, weekends, holidays, averaging 13 twelve hour shifts per month; no call.
